About Flaco Fly Fishing
Flaco Fly Fishing is to offer its clients guided inshore fishing opportunities throughout the Indian River Lagoon and St. Lucie River in which we will target certain gamefish species such as snook, tarpon, redfish, speckled trout, jack crevalle, and more.

Our operation is solely catch-and-release, if you are interested in “filling your freezer”, we will help you find a different charter. Here at Flaco Fly Fishing, our focus is on sustainability and conservation, not just for the fish population, but for the ecosystem as a whole! We respect the sport of fishing as well as the environment.

Flaco Fly Fishing works out of various boat launches from Round Island in Vero Beach, Little Mud Creek in Fort Pierce, and Jensen Beach. This will allow for clients to either choose a location closer to where they are located or give the guide an opportunity to provide the client with the greatest opportunity to catch fish depending on the weather, water traffic, and fish activity.
At Flaco Fly Fishing we use an 18-foot carbon fiber Chittum skiff which floats in less than 8 inches of water. A shallow water poling skiff allows us to protect the aquatic species such as seagrass and oyster beds. When possible, we will utilize a push pole to propel the skiff in a quiet manner. This technique also limits the disturbance to not only the fish, but other aquatic species as well. In certain instances, such as windy conditions or deep water, we will use an electric trolling motor to move the boat around when stalking fish.
